Couple or individual required to manage a family home in Jordon with 5 Philipino housekeeping staff and Arabic butlers, exterior and maintenance staff, other homes within the Middle East, USA and UK with flexible staffing arrangements. Preferably a male Chef / female Housekeeper combination, alternatively a Female Housekeeper - House Manager.
The Chef will be responsible for provisioning and cooking for the family three times a day, six days a week and leaving pre-prepared food on the seventh day. The emphasis will be on healthy living and tailoring diets for individuals with any specific health problems. He will also be responsible for providing catering for small dinner parties (approximately 12 guests) on regular occasions and on a larger scale about 4 times a year (approximately 130 guests).
The House Manager's duty will predominately be overseeing all areas from catering and service, housekeeping and laundry to gardening and maintenance and especially staff in all departments. On occasion the House Manager will be required to organize events and parties, travel arrangements and any other owner's requests. She will also be responsible for the upkeep of household and staffing paperwork and accounts.
The couple or individual will be required to work a six day week with flexible working hours. Holiday will be four weeks per calendar year including a return flight to a chosen destination, to be taken at a time convenient to the famliy. An apartment will be provided within the complex consisting of a bedroom, lounge and bathroom. When required to travel with the family accommodation will be provided. All food and toiletries are included. A car or driver will be provided. Medical Insurance will be arranged. If employed as a couple the Chef and House Managers Salary is €3,500 net each per month. The salary for a House Manager employed individually will be €3,700-4,000 net per month. Previous Couple highly recommend after 4 years and have moved into other roles with the family. Assistant Apartment Manager
Knightsbridge, London
Responsible for approximately eleven staff including butlers, housekeepers and a cook.
The household is based in a number of prestigious apartments in the same building in Central London where the families standards are absolutely impeccable and where confidentiality and discretion are key factors. The principals have two children and a team of nannies. They frequently travel and take some of their staff with them.
Essentially, the apartments need to function like a luxury hotel and also be maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, including all the furniture and fabrics and artefacts. Linen, towels and clothing need to be expertly managed and all operating equipment and machinery needs to be kept spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained, responsibility needs to be taken for monthly stock checks and inventories.
The personal presentation of staff needs to be supervised along with their standards of service and knowledge of skills, including the presentation and service of food and drinks. Their daily duties need to be monitored and organised in accordance to the principals activities and requirements.
All outside contractors need to be supervised and procedures and standards maintained ~ eg florists, dry cleaning, shopping etc
This position requires a self motivated, reliable and responsible person with excellent communication skills who is familiar with a multicultural household where the standards are of the highest. Attention to detail is a must, demonstrating understanding of when the quality of an item is tarnished or has deteriorated and being able to action its repair or replacement without compromising the quality or service operation within the household.
Must have Food and Beverage, hotel background.
The position does not provide accommodation, an early daily start is required and days/hours of work to be discussed at interview stage, but flexibility of hours and days is required. The salary will reflect the responsibility of this position.

The ownership couple of Hacienda El Palancar are two very accomplished persons; she in the performing art world and he in business and fine art. This property is their dream home where they expect to spend the approximately 8 months per year. Newly built with entertainment in mind, the property can comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests for varying lengths of time. The service standard is high with 5 star+ expectations.
Since this is a new property, the culture of service is developing for the staff. The property is somewhat remote and this brings challenges in securing supplies and talented staff. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate, train and provide leadership for estate service team departments which are separately: Housekeeping, Culinary, Landscape, Security and Boat departments
• Work to develop and maintain owner's desired standards while creating and encouraging staff to be happy in their work and ever more professional
• Overall responsibility for the estate facilities, contents, systems and organization.
• Translate owner's requirements into personnel and financial management plans for approval and subsequent implementation and then oversight.
• Liaise in a professional and efficient manner with all staff on site and in other locations
• Ensure that estate policies are understood and observed in the areas of security, confidentiality, security, interaction with family and guests, expenditures of funds, vehicle use, job performance
• Perform hands on tasks as appropriate within the concept that all staff pitch in as needed
HOURS OF SERVICE:
The Estate Management Couple is on duty for 5 days per week on a flexible schedule and on call 24/7. The employers highly value the service attitude that puts their needs at a premium.
